What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by the websites you visit. AutoAide uses a small number of cookies and browser storage keys strictly to run the service — never to build advertising profiles.
What we store
- Authentication session — Firebase Authentication stores a secure token so you don't have to sign in on every page.
- Language preference — your selected UI language is saved in localStorage so pages load in the right language.
- Notifications state — the last time you checked scan notifications, stored locally to compute unread counts.
Third parties
Emergency scan pages record minimal analytics (device, browser, scan source). This data stays inside your AutoAide account and is not shared with advertisers.
Managing cookies
You can clear cookies and site data at any time from your browser's settings. Signing out clears the authentication session immediately.
